la bonita CHIANG MAI is an exceptional boutique hotel that strives to bring inspiration, creativity and joy to our Guests experience when they come to Chiang Mai. With creativity as our core value, our goal is to spark guests, visitors and artists own passion with our unique workshops, vibrant hotel design and the beautiful natural surroundings that encompass our hotel. We aspire to give each and every one of our guests the memory of a lifetime whether they stay for a day, a week or a month.

Additionally, we believe in supporting the local Doi Saket and Chiang Mai community through our hiring practices and purchasing policies. We work hard to source local products that are ethically made. Even the lovely small soaps that are placed in each Villa are hand made by a student here in Chiang Mai using local honey.

Our Story

Before moving to Chiang Mai, husband and wife team Jameel and Hilcia had worked in Shanghai, Los Angeles, Orlando and Hong Kong, he as a Production Designer, she as an Architect, within the themed entertainment industry. They realized that their true inspiration and dream was to weave their passion for art, design and culture into a real and vibrant place so that others could experience and enjoy the value of these principles as much as they did. Thus, when the opportunity arose to create such a place, they leapt at the chance and la bonita CHIANG MAI was born. Here, they interact with and inspire guests daily to be creative and to absorb the beautiful natural surroundings of Doi Saket and this magical place they call home, Chiang Mai.
